Mood: Pleasantly chilled!
30th December 2005
Windsurfing: Ythan Estuary, Aberdeen
Wind Direction: SSE
Wind Stength: 30 - 35mph
Surf / Sea State: Choppy
Air Temperature: Extremely Cold
Sea Temperature: Cold
Weather: Dull / sleet
Max Speed: 25 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 6 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Freezing cold, but thought I'd chance it as the forecast was not looking good for the next week or so. Wind was pretty much constant 30mph, with the odd small lull and gusts. Water was quite choppy, and the tide was really ripping in which made life very tricky. Would have gone later in the day, but it gets dark early up here this time of year! Anyway, managed a few speedy runs bordering on the out of control - should have really put up the 4.2m, but couldn't be bothered as hands were too cold. Was pleased to get 27mph top speed on the GPS, but know I could have done oh so much better. Decided it was time to pack up when my wife popped down to see me sailing and she heard my teeth chattering.
